Treehugging through the Years

I grew up in the 1960s and 1970s when kids still played outside. I was in heaven whenever I was exploring the nearby bamboo-lined creek or perched in our big sycamore tree. As a teenager, I found solace lying on the lawn watching the sunset or marveling at the beauty of fallen leaves that looked like puzzle pieces.

My love of nature and animals continued into adulthood. That love translated in a desire to live an eco-friendly lifestyle. Eating organic, toting reusable grocery bags and recycling dovetailed into greater awareness about issues like global warming, renewable energy and conservation.
